Clear Lake 2012

A week at the lake has become an immovable family tradition. This year the weather was perfect and the days long. Maya was a strong swimmer, a critter hunter, and the leader of all tasks. Elliot constructed elaborate habitats for all the aquatic life they captured, a passel of barbies, and on the last day, a fairy family. Max discovered his inner he-man and basked in the adoration of the whole family.

Meanwhile, Joe and I, away from the obligations of home, work, and garden, successfully relaxed into the rhythm of lake life.

Inspired by the travel video of a friend (loved that giraffe - M!), here is a video montage to encapsulate the week.

  1. Sounds wonderful. I wonder how many Clear Lakes there are in Minnesota. There is a Clear Lake down by Jackson, where I used to live. But it no longer lives up to its name as it turns green in the summer.
